How do I move my Splitwise data to Futari?

The date, description, category and total come across, one expense per transaction. Settle-up (Payment) rows and the Total balance row are not imported and stay in the error log, and the who-owes-whom balance from Splitwise doesn't come along either. Categories whose names match (Groceries or Rent, say) are filed automatically and the rest start out together under Other. If you both exported the same group, import only one copy: Futari does not de-duplicate.

Are the columns the same as Futari’s?

Not exactly, but it reads in. Futari uses the date, description, category, total (Cost) and currency; the per-person share columns are not read, so you set the payer and split once for the whole batch. To keep this older history from touching today's balance, choose All mine; with Half each, every row in the batch counts toward the balance between you two.

Splitwise's free plan allows 4 entries a day. What about Futari?

There's no daily entry limit on the core ledger, and import costs nothing.

Yes. A Futari trip keeps one journey’s spending in its own ledger, in the local currency, and folds it back into the main ledger when the trip ends.

What happens to Splitwise rows in another currency?

When the Currency column isn't TWD, the number in the file is written as-is in your base currency, with no conversion and no original currency kept, and decimals are rounded to whole numbers. You can edit the amounts row by row afterwards.
